IPH divests Glasshouse Advisory to Grant Thornton

Saltire Capital Partners successfully advised leading intellectual property firm IPH Limited, an ASX 200 company, on its divestment of the research and development tax practice division of Glasshouse Advisory to accounting and advisory firm Grant Thornton.

Social Impact Consortium saves the Australian Associated Press

Saltire Capital Partners provided bid support, financial and tax due diligence, tax structuring and separation planning services to the consortium, led by Nick Harrington. The new-look AAP, directed by chief executive Emma Cowdroy and editor Andrew Drummond, will continue to produce content including breaking and world news, sport, court and political reporting, plus photography and a FactCheck service.

As the air conditioning pioneers consider the acquisition of a private Australian smart IoT solutions, building automation and HVAC solutions company, Saltire has been appointed to provide financial and tax due diligence services, including assistance with the sale and purchase agreement. The transaction presents interesting challenges including navigation of the revised Foreign Investment Review Board (FIRB) requirements.

Christies People

A family-owned and operated business since 1997, specialising in labour-hire for the civil and construction industry appointed Saltire to assist with succession planning following the sudden passing of the company’s founder. This included a valuation of the business for probate purposes and assistance with the restructuring of the business’s accounting and tax affairs.
